Mary Baum has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember,
but she did not pursue her interest in art with real seriousness until her early twenties.
She had graduated from The University of Arizona with a degree in Classics and a Minor in Studio art,
and was working in Tucson as a financial specialist when she completed a series of nine paintings as a
wedding present for her friend; she decided then to devote more of her time to painting.
Her paintings are represented mostly in private collections, from
California to New York, as she specializes in commissioned works. Her work can also be found for
purchase on imagekind.com. In her spare time she enjoys learning the German language and spending
time with family. Mary Baum works for The University of Arizona in Tucson where she lives with her
husband John.
